This course is aimed at lawyers, accountants, financial lenders, those working in dentistry and anyone with a general interest about the legal frameworks under which dental practices operate in England. The course condenses vast amounts of information into bite sized sections. It provides you with key information relating to the NHS dental contracts in England, in just over one hour of lectures.It discusses who can profit from the business of dentistry and hold an NHS contract. It discusses the two main dental contracts, the treatment available under the contracts, what a banded course of treatment is, how dental activity is broken down and paid, the way in which contractors are paid under the NHS contract and key clauses that come up regularly from my experience of advising dentists on NHS and business matters for the last 15 years.It introduces you to relevant legislation and directs you to various guidance that is used within the NHS dental framework.
